I feel like she had words to say after she helped get Trump in office, but I have to be honest and say I tuned her out because I think they were more of the same, i.e. garbage about “burning it all down” in order to rebuild better. How can a person be nearly 80 and not understand that when things are burnt down, they’re not always better, and that’s if they get rebuilt at all. I can’t believe that Trump’s role in the pandemic has been buried. W, then Obama, built a pandemic response. Obama, a realist about China’s tendency to suppress facts, opened an early detection office in Beijing.

Trump destroyed it all. Closed the office. Stopped any preparation. Part of the GOP’s obsession with blocking the functions of the government
