Yum! That seems very Northeast /New England to me! Remember Starbucks Chantico of the 00’s. It was amazing - torch + Dairy Milk bar I love what carrageenan does for taste -just worried about daily, got years. Maybe my kids will start loving yogurt daily

OP, There is no way to get the thickened texture without either a ton of fat or added thickeners. You could try making some at home with cornstarch, if you want to avoid cream, cocoa butter and jelling agents like carageenan. |

This is the best idea. I make hot chocolate with evaporated milk. It is so good cooled down. Still thick. So a combo of melting a good hot choc mix with evap milk then cooled down. Give it a try. |
