School board results?

Anonymous
Other than McEleven, I tried voting for non progressives but they are getting crushed. Unfortunately some of the R endorsed are so easy to vote against. Really considering one, but as I investigated further, she didn't even believe in climate change. Tough to support someone for sb when they don't believe in science.

Either party. Bring merit back

It will continue its reputation, which is now of a declining school system.

We’ve been watching more and more of our neighbors send their kids to privates and that will only accelerate with another board composed entirely of members from the same party.

Repubs should have stayed away from book banning and crucifying trans kids. As well as slamming equity like it is a slur.

Maybe they would have had a chance.

The Republicans ran too many people running for at large. Next time they should focus on no more than two. Some of them did quite well running for the first time. I think they could have had someone come in third if they just ran one candidate hard.

I am going to make a crap ton of money from this.

Thank you, thank you, thank you voters.

Vega is trailing. This is a progressive county. No one was “scared away” by the fearmongering. The R candidates sucked.

I am amused seeing McLean area precincts results. No wonder their schools are over crowded and old. Anyway, it's a good result. 🤣🤣🥰

I’m a republican and honestly believe we will never have another “republican” school board member again in fcps.

We are far outnumbered here.

I just hope there are a few more moderate opinions represented on the new board.

Yep a trajectory of scores improving, tons of NMSF winners, top ranked schools nationally and in the state ...it's just awful.

This.

Until the Republican party as a whole comes to its senses, they are never going to win among an educated population.

What are the McLean precinct results showing?

One of the Republican candidates was at my school today. She had a truck with signs focused on the use of pronouns, keeping girls girls, and other similar nonsense. I am a moderate, keep the right wing nut jobs away from the ballot and I might vote for a moderate R. Run people more concerned about a kids pronouns, banning books, and the like and I am not voting for them.

This isn’t hard. Run on reasonable changes and I’ll listen. Run on MAGA talking points and I am not voting for you.

A Republican in 2023? Why?
