Why does the left no longer seem to care about health, chemicals in foods, Big Pharma, etc?

Anonymous
The left does. Most of us are making personal choices that reflect that.

It's just we are trying to make sure democracy actually survives right now,.which seems to be the most pressing concern.

Honestly. People have some strange priorities. Plastic and PFAS are pervasive and long lasting. It will only get worse.

You two are the type of bad actor/ai/troll/bots that that other thread is talking about.

The PP/PPs who have provided all the links of the Democrats doing the work on the environment and the GOP undoing it are showing the issue: the Democrats care about issues and the GOP blocks all progress. So you turn around and agree with the false premise that the Democrats aren’t doing anything. Way to sow chaos.

In the meantime, for those of you who do understand the gravity of micro plastics and forever chemicals, vote Democratic.

OP, maybe you want to reframe your question, since it is clear that, in fact, "the left" does care about these issues and has taken regulatory and legislative steps to address them?

No, OP just wanted to drum up anger at the Democrats again, since it seems like people are getting wise again to the fact that the GOP’s position on any subject is “that which causes maximum harm to the most people, preferably poor, brown, female or otherwise with less power.”

If your air and water are poisoned there is little you can do with "personal choices". Even if you grow your own food. Vast majority buy some sort of prepared food, not many cook from scratch or are very picky about reading the list of ingredients or buying organic (which is out of reach for many people anyway). Your kids can eat anything they want when you aren't there, smth you also cannot control. There is a need for regulations and honesty for sure, personal choices only take you this far.

OP's premise is false. The end.

This. So many threads start this way. It's boring.

It isn't trivial. That's why Democrats are trying to address it. Look it up. It's not either/or for Democrats (unless you are asking why isn't TV covering other things, but that has nothing to do with the question.)

BTW, money to foreign aid is a tiny fraction of the federal budget, hence a tiny fraction of what government is "focused on."

Health, food, pharma? Start here:

There is a lot more, but this is a small start to help you find actual information on the issues you care about.

The GOP does not give a rats ass about cancer or declining health or premature death. If those are your issues, I doubt you will find a champion in the GOP

Lol +1. Remember how not one of them voted for the insulin price decrease? (And then of course took credit for it anyway!)

and are now fighting to repeal it.

So is OP AI or just off her rocker? The OP is like a series of jumps in logic and wrong headed conclusions.

NP... I saw several thoughtful responses upthread and hope those have set the OP straight...

Wondering if this is the case or if the OP is still harboring the original premise.

OP isn’t a straight shooter at all. She’s not thinking anything through, it’s just a thread to bash Democrats and make people who only read the title think that the Democrats are no longer concerned about the environment.

Of course when the Democrats are concerned about the environment, the flying monkeys of the GOP take to the Fox crystal ball and shriek their mockery of the Democrats. So. You know. Samesies.
