So is she on leave indefinitely? Is that why the Board met with the principals?

The fact that it's so quiet to me suggests that the Board has told principals, or at least MCAAP, that she's on leave indefinitely.

When was MCPS planning on telling families that she was on leave?!? I receive tons of garbage comms from MCPS, but not that, for some reason.

If she's dealing with a private matter, she has my sympathy... but not announcing it seems fishy.

I'm guessing that the reason it wasn't announced is because it was meant to be really temporary? But I dunno. Still pretty strange to me, but I don't work in education so I don't know how normal this is or not.

OK, she had a medical leave, required hospitalization and is now resting at home.

She has my best wishes, but MCPS communications is REALLY MORONIC to not have blasted this out along with the usual news, because when she's dealing with the Beidleman crisis and other problems, it looks as though she's hiding.

No. The board meets with reps from each of the unions annually, and this meeting with the adminisrators' union was scheduled long in advance.

It’s likely that the medical condition was a mental health issue, due to the secrecy around it and her statement that she’s “getting better day by day”.
