AI can tell stories.

I think the appeal of stories is that there is a human element and also nostalgia. AI isn’t very creative and can only use existing concepts.

I belong to to children's book writing fb page...people are already freaking out about AI. Illustrators are losing work to AI generated stuff, some authors are using AI to develop their existing ideas etc. Westworld here we come. As a teacher, my career is probably safe but the pay is terrible and although I see my creative daughter going this route, I hope she finds something else. Teaching is wonderful and rewarding but also all consuming for very little compensation. My software developer husband has it way better than me...for now. Hopefully he'll be ready for retirement before AI officially takes over.

Ha! You think the geriatrics in congress are going to regulate anything? They don’t understand it, how are they going to regulate it? They haven’t dealt with social media, but as soon as they do I’m sure they’ll get right on AI 😉

I work in the federal government and am taking a class on uses for AI right now. I can think of a ton of uses but I also think that we never ever get rid of people in government we just move them around. AI will replace some of our functions but no one will lose a job they’ll just be moved to do something else.

People have to manage AI. Become one of those people who manages the AI usage in your workplace.

My job entails a lot of writing and pulling together reports, and you'd think this is something AI would do in lieu of me, but someone has to be the one to tell AI to prepare the reports and pull together the documents and manage their submission and feedback. AI would be my assistant in lieu of a human assistant.

It depends which healthcare. Studies have shown AI can be as good as radiologists in spotting abnormalities on X-rays/CT scans etc.
