+1 I drink decaf in the morning because my blood pressure had shot up a year ago.

Warm liquids is good for your digestion. It helps stimulate your bowels. So, you could even just drink warm water for that purpose.

At 11:43 I think we can assume it is her lunch hour...but does not want to disturb others with volume on.

I don't do caffeine/coffee at all. Used to drink it, but when I went off of it I got wicked headache. Sooo I stick with herbal tea. Mainly Celestial Seasonings. Sometimes in cold months, I do hotcocoa in the keurig.

This is a TOTALLY DIFFERENT Sanjay Gupta— not the CNN Sanjay Gupta!

Thanks OP, glad to see this is the legit link unlike the one posted earlier. I really really wanted to write a summary but I couldn’t really summarize it well, and I think it’s easier to just read through the transcription. Sorry!

I drink brewed cacao. It’s not coffee but it has grown on me. It’s a nice warm beverage with cream and sugar. The cacao flavored is subtle. I like it, but it’s not coffee but better than mushrooms which I can’t stomach. It was just gross to me.

Could never give up my morning espressos. Life without coffee is joyless. Good luck OP.

I read the transcript. There's no evidence that caffeine is bad for you, unless you drink 8+ cups a day. I want that 5 minutes back.

Coffee is actually good for you according to several real studies. I only have one cup (in the mornin, but my day would be "off" without it. I enjoy the ritual of it, the taste too.

I switched to matcha which does have caffeine but less than coffee and the l-Theanine in it is supposed to affect how the caffeine is released so it causes less jitteriness. Also matcha is supposed to be very healthy. (I don’t use sweetener, just a little milk)

I stopped driving coffee because of reflux. I switched to black tea (which I also love) but then that aggravated my reflux as well. Now I just drink chamomile tea in the morning. It's ok, but it's not nearly as good as coffee or English breakfast tea.
