Chapel Hill vs College Park, is this even a discussion?

How's the general trend of DMV vs rest of the country for recruiting? The rest of the country seems to be catching up slowly.

2023 Spring - half of the all Ivy Teams were DMV (mostly M) + NY, if this is representative of something. Don't have total D1 and D3 numbers.

Chapel Hill is a nicer place to live IMO but you have a better shot at a championship at UMD. But UNC's had some success themselves (incl a championship in 2016) and have gotten a nice recruiting class in 2025 so far. So it's a complex choice.

Academics are better, athletic program has greater resources, and weather is much nicer.

Depends on what you are studying when you talk academics and your greater resources is a joke. Have you even been to the campuses or you just spouting off?

About the same number of championships but our family places and emphasis on academics and student life, too. UNC is a better choice for us.

Fairfield, reslly?

They are terrible

Not as bad as your spelling and punctuation. Five words and you still found ways to mess it up. Tsk, tsk.

What if he really likes the school?

Fairfield every now and then puts together a strong team.

It’s a great place for top rated freshman to come in and play right away vs having to ride the pine until your junior / senior year. Not to mention, having to worry about the coaching staff bringing in kids every summer through the transfer portal.

And great access to Wall Street if that’s what you want.
