Also in Potomac. Who said anything about fair or not fair? This is about private property rights.

Why would you WANT multi family
Properties of River or Falls Rd?

Let’s build some multi families off Glen road! Very accessible.

I don't understand why anybody would want anything off River Road or Falls Road. However, people do. If the property owner wants to build something multi-family there, the property owner should be allowed to do so.

There needs to be some more apartments that go up in downtown Potomac along with lifestyle centers

Potomac has built some multi family communities In The past 20 years.

To do this You have to elect a majority of people that will attempt to do this.

Agreed, the OP must be trolling.

I'm not the OP, but - why shouldn't it be allowed to build multi-family housing in Potomac?

It’s not allowed because Andrew Friedson, our supposed smart growth council member, eliminated it from the list of activity centers in Thrive over the recommendations of professional planning staff. Friedson’s family has land in Potomac and apparently prefers being surrounded by SFH only.

I don't want Potomac to turn into Little Guatemala, so no.

More density should be created where amenities already exist.

Nope, that's not how it works and that isn't going to change.

There shouldn’t be multi family housing anywhere.

Where are there apartment or condos in Potomac? The only development that is not SFH is at the interesection of Falls and River, and its all commercial, not residential.

Every new development has been required to include a small group of townhouses. We did our part. Now go away.

Who is "we"? What have "we" done "our part" of, and how have "we" done this?

Also, attached houses (aka "townhouses") are single-family houses.

Aren't there apartments and townhomes off Seven Lochs that have been there forever? Multi-family in an area like Potomac would not be beneficial as the transportation infrastructure isn't there.

Comments like these are why I as a latina sometimes need to take a break from this website...

How long of a commute via public transit is acceptable to you for lower level wage workers to live? So many are commuting to Potomac to clean your house, landscape your pristine lawns, cut the vegetables you purchase at grocery stores or prep the meals at your restaurants - and there is also the whole set of workers that keep our buildings/warehouses clean working the night shifts. You love using the underground labor as long as you don't see it.
