Potomac needs multi family housing

There are buses that serve Potomac. Buses are transportation infrastructure. There's a whole bus route (the T2) just for all of the people who work in domestic service jobs in Potomac.

We need to build huge concrete Soviet style tower apartments similar to what China has done. The goal is density, density, density because that’s the only equitable thing. Also, we need to dissolve any sort of historic preservation laws and build as many projects as we can everywhere we can in DC. We need to rent control all of them. Basically, a penthouse should be available to anyone who wants it, even if they have no job and 20 kids.

Let’s build some multi families off Glen road! Very accessible.

I don't understand why anybody would want anything off River Road or Falls Road. However, people do. If the property owner wants to build something multi-family there, the property owner should be allowed to do so.

NP. Disagree. This isn't a private property owner's decision. It would impact roads, schools, bus routes, fire, police coverage. Infrastructure should support multifamily before it's built.

I'd be okay with huge apartments as long as these people were absolutely not allowed to own cars and were required to use public transport only. Traffic and parking are the main issues IMO.

No, single family housing doesn't flood the city with people the way a SFH does. Apartments often bring in needier people who need more services: more public transportation, more help in school and more policing.
