Auditions on Saturday/Sunday, roles will be posted the next Wednesday. What cast of performances they are actually in will be set around the first week of November

What percentage of the school do you think tries out for Nutcracker?
DD is worried she will be the only one who isn't there if she doesn't, but its a huge holiday commitment - like you can't do anything all fall and winter on the weekends

Less than half 900 student / 400 nuts — give or take

A lot of kids don't do it because of the time commitment. You can't travel during Thanksgiving or Christmas break. Performances go through the end of the calendar year, so unless you're hosting Thanksgiving and Xmas, you can't travel very far to visit family during the holidays.

I don't believe Donna mentioned that in the meeting. I wouldn't be surprised to see if they wait and see what covid numbers look like through October

What’s the lowest level in TWSB where you you can get be “little clown?” 1-A, 1-B, or 2?

There was a 1B last year, but she specifically asked them to audition for the part, the group had not been auditioning otherwise.
Typically its a short 2 or 3

Thank you… my I-B asked and was told “no” today we know the 1-B who was allowed to audition last year, which is why I thought you could ask. So for anyone else reading, it doesn’t look like they allowed that this year, sadly.
