NCAP West if you don’t need to commute into DC every day.

The one that will take your child given most tryouts are over.

With RMSC that's standard. It is developmentally appropriate.

Just saw commute isn’t an issue. You definitely want to look into NCAP West. Excellent coaching staff from the youngest kids all the way through the top level. The top training group already has 2 Olympic trials qualifiers.

Clubs will find room for a swimmer with Futures cuts.

How is RMSC? Which site is best? NCAP seems too big…

You would move based on club and not schools? Odd priorities.

She does 3x for an hour and the fourth is an hour and a half.

Way too much at that age.

RMSC depends on the coach, like anywhere. However you just missed tryouts so they might make an exception but you need to call around and go with who will take your kids. And, if they take one, they may not take another and usually practice times are not the same.

No, it's not. That's pretty standard. Mine was swimming an hour or so 4 days a week and not a super star.

Just a tip. You don't need to log in to this forum to comment. Most people stay anonymous.

NCAP has more sites than RMSC but is not necessarily bigger in terms of number of swimmers. In case you don’t know, RMSC is a county program and gets a huge price break because of that, which means spots in their programs are in high demand.

RMSC might have far less flexibility to make room for the nine year old as their age group groups get completely full, and they are subject to county rules.

This is also true. RMSCs Juniors groups are always full. Unless OP’s daughter is a age group champs level swimmer they may not take her at this point.

RMSC advanced juniors requires 3d per week, it is plenty. There are more practices available and some kids add a 4th day, but in my opinion, a second sport is the better use of that time (and what my kids did and still ended up at the highest level). My kids only upped their practice to 4d in the last few months of AJ as it became apparent they needed to prepare to transition to NDG (5d required).
