Bottled water

We buy bottled water just like you OP. It is expensive and I have tried to move to the brita filter system but I find that in our household we all drink a lot more water ( I mean like 3x as much) when we drink bottled water compared to brita.

Each member of the family has their own Brita filter water bottle.

This has to be the dumbest thing I have ever read. You go through cases of plastic water bottles a week?!!? That is sooooo horrible for a variety of reasons, mostly the earth that you are destroying!!

Just get a freaking brita, or a home house purifier and drink from a goddamn glass or from a yeti bottle or something. God Americans are so wasteful.

I have to agree, you are contributing to the destruction of our planet! Get a whole house system installed, an under faucet system, or use a Brita.

It's so nice to have a specific tap for perfect water. We all have Takeya water bottles in various sizes.

We have a filter for the whole home. Worth the investment as all the bathrooms also have delicious water. I find my hair is also the perfect texture.

I read that nearly half of US tap water is contaminated with PFAS chemicals. So, drinking bottle water might not be a bad idea

1). It flat out tastes better. Some people scoff at the idea that water has a taste, but if you try it, you will 100% see it.

2). It has a higher mineral content and pH than other waters – this has been scientifically documented. Just because all water looks the same does not mean they are all the same – lettuce that has E. coli may look the same as lettuce without E. coli, but certainly they are different.

3). I previously got annoyed with his expense and tried out the reverse osmosis machines at MOM’s. For one, it’s a hassle to carry all your bottles back-and-forth from the supermarket (unlike Fiji, which I get auto-delivered by Amazon). And two, I noticed that the bottles developed a moldy smell when I did this – I question the cleanliness of the MOM’s machines.

For all these reasons, I just suck it up and pay for the Fiji water.

Do you really think that the reason people say that Fifi water doesn't taste different is because they haven't tried it? I only drink bottled water when out and about and I have to buy it and have had Fiji water many times- it does not taste different.

I can't believe you buy into their marketing that you need to drink water with a higher mineral content.

I have and use a Brita filter.

If I had a wealth of money, I'd put in one of those fancy water bottle fillers with the UVA light, in my kitchen. We have one at work and the water is perfect.

There is no virtue to drinking "a lot more water." If you're elderly, you may lose the feedback system that tells you when you're getting dehydrated, but otherwise, humans have survived all this time by knowing that being thirsty means you need to drink water. No longer thirsty? You've had enough.

If you refuse to drink tap water at least get the 5 gallon bottles delivered and get a water cooler. At least those bottles get reused.

THIS. Get a water cooler and buy the 5 gallon water jugs.

Drink More Water is great for the reusable gallons
