6 year old loved Jamaica and cruising in general
7 year old liked Bali ( not the food so much) and London We are headed to Thailand for thanksgiving and Australia for spring break so we shall see. |
| Egypt, after studying ancient Egypt in school, was a big hit. |
| Our kids pretty much love anywhere we go, if we plan things that they love. For us that means being outside, a lake, pool or beach is nice but not required. Being able to hike is usually high on the list. They get tired of too many museums and too much time spent in busy cities. They don't love hot and humid locations unless they are near a place they can cool off. They like winter activities. The majority of our trips have been to Europe since we have friends and families there. Most trips work out if we plan downtime and activities that meet their interests. |

Ds is 10. His top 10 (in no order he said) are:
Aruba Paris London New Zealand in particular the North Island Patagonia Iceland Japan Australia but especially Cairns because that's where we hit the Great Barrier Reef from Maldives Belize He's more of an adventurous kid than a walk around the city kid. |
| Australia. Such an amazing country. I don't know a living human being old or young who doesn't like Italy. |
|
Our kids do best with outdoorsy trips.
Iceland Azores Madeira Belize Banff & Jasper Panama (Boca del Toro) Turks & Caicos Grand Cayman St. John We just got back from 2 weeks of n the Canadian Rockies so that is especially fresh in my mind. It’s such a beautiful part of the world with cool hikes and activities for kids/teens. |
| You're all just listing everywhere you've taken your kids. Tedious. |
| I don’t think there has been a trip my kids didn’t enjoy. The only place I wouldn’t go back at the moment is Russia, though they loved it when we were there when they were quite young. Definitely get them used to traveling asap, we never stopped taking our kids all over and at 9, 11 & 13 they are great travelers. |

Really dumb responses. My kid has traveled extensively overseas since he was two months old. Has citizenship in three countries. What matters to kids is the activities they do and whether they're interests are being catered to. At age 6 my kid had no preference for seeing a giraffe at the zoo in downtown DC over the one in Melbourne. A leafy park with lots of vendors selling cute monkey hats in Mexico City is not much different to a 7-yr-old than one in the Market Square in downtown San Antonio.

What did they enjoy about Germany (hoping to the the kids next year!) |

Paris
Thailand (specifically, Chiang Mai) |
|
France, specifically Puy du Fou theme park when they were 7 and 9. So much fun
Belize, ages 9 and 11. Jungle tour, snorkeling, ruins, Wales, ages 5 and 7. Castles!!! Tanzania, ages 13 and 16. Safari!!! (There were a few other trips, but these were the stand outs.) |
What time of year did you visit Thailand, and how was the weather? |
| Southern France, Paris, Munich, Denmark. |
