NP. Was the series "The Way We Live Now"? That's a brilliant, prescient period piece -- both the TV adaptation and the Anthony Trollope novel from which it's adapted. That was the first place I ever saw Cillian Murphy. My DD thought he was gorgeous in it and still thinks he's a dish! (I'm agnostic as he's not my type re: looks but I think he's a terrific actor.)
Anyone who loves a good British period piece, especially one that's intelligent about human nature, greed and ambition, should see (or better yet, read) "The Way We Live Now."
