| It will be fine, but it won’t have the reliability, durability and capability of past LC’s |
| on wait list to get the 2024 exus gx 550....this LC thing looks like a "baby" version of the upcoming GX... |

I believe this is essentially the new version of the small Land Cruiser that’s always been on the market in Japan and it’s the platform the GX is based on.
The new LX will not be the same platform and will stay put. It never made commercial sense to have 2 high priced SUVs that were nearly identical and within a few thousand dollars of each other. I’m excited about the new LC, GX, and LX. |
Anyone out there have this? I'm wondering about the engine. Does it seem under-powered? What kind of MPGs are you getting? |
Toyota Hilux for the win! |
| I like the new Lexus Gx better. The price difference is not enough to pull me away from a nicer car/smoother ride. |
| It’s a cheap, watered down variant of the old LC. Bad engine (anything turbo is bad imo) and cheap interior finish. The exterior looks are good though. Not buying |

| I don't like the swing out back door on the Lexus GX. You can't open it in the garage or parking lot. I prefer a SUV that's hatchback. |
I like a tailgate. |
It never should’ve been tarted-up to the luxury appointments it had in previous models. It should never have been made into a “high end car” to begin with. It’s an off-road truck. It’s made to go off-road. It’s great that it’s going back to its roots. If you want a high end car, get a high end CAR. Don’t demand automakers take functional off-road vehicles and make them less capable by adding a bunch of luxury bullsh!t to them. That’s how Land Rover lost it’s soul. Glad to see Toyota learned from Land Rover’s mistakes. |
It’s not meant for people like you, so it’s good that you’re not planning on buying one. It’s designed for a different sort of person. |
| The looks don't bother me, more interested in the engine and performance. It appears that all LCs are hybrids now? Watched a video that showed what I would consider mediocre fuel economy, all things considered. If accurate, may be worth searching for the old V8 instead. |
I think it was Land Rover changing its iconic body shapes, not adding lux features. IMO, they have a small enough production that they should have left well enough alone and maybe come up with a few new models rather than replace classics. I don't hate the newer Defender or Discovery, but people still want to buy the older ones. |
