Yes the Hilux my dream car!

I got the 2023 GX the last year for the V8 and now I'm bummed I didn't wait a year for this Land Cruiser

The new Lexus Gx is nicer and not much more expensive, so why go for the Land Cruiser?

Because Lexus, for some odd reason, still won't ditch their horrific design that makes it look like your driving a car with maxi pad on the front grill. Absolutely baffling they remain so stubborn about keeping a period pad for the defining feature design of the car for so many years.

Are these the same maker now? Is that why the constant comparison.
FWIW we have the 3rd row seating thinking it was a vital feature and we have used it exactly 0 times in three years! With teenagers!

Sequoia will be still be based off the Tundra double cab platform, as it always has been. It’s a shame the 4.7/5.7 V8 is gone though. Great motor. Almost bulletproof. A turbo V6 is NOT going to have the same durability as the NA V8 did.

GX looks a lot better and less garish than others in the segment except maybe the Rover

Save your breath. It still looks like you're driving around with a maxi pad for a grill.

I thought the GX was supposed to be more like a LR Defender than a LR Range Rover, for comparison's sake. It has more of a Jeep-like look and off-road features, IIRC.

They’ve already had major problems with it. Supposedly fixed for 24 on, but who knows.

The Lexus will be more expensive to maintain, insure and repair long term. And if you live in VA, your personal property bill will be higher.
