Google says probation until 2028

I’d be shocked if he didn’t violate his probation within a year. Has he ever really been clean?

Sad when people like you care more about innocent victims, both past and potential. He should have been given life withour parole.

Interesting that he was released a little early. He was the opposite of a model prisoner in his first jail term. And continued lying through his teeth in a Dateline interview.

I looked up the civil suit, which I hadn’t heard about. Any lump sum payments (for book, interview etc) would go directly to the Levin family. They’ll also get 10% of any other income. I wonder what kind of job he could even get.

You should hope criminals are employed. The inability to get work and/or earn a decent wage is why we have recidivism.

Murderers belong in prison for life. Employment is not a concern.

Remember when Chambers was videoed twisting the head off a Barbie doll in pantomime of what he did to Jennifer? He had a couple of girls with him in the video if I recall correctly.

That murder happened when I was almost 16, I followed the coverage closely and I would have to say it had a profound impact on me. I was still years away from women’s studies 101 and introduction to feminism, but the case of Jennifer Levin’s murder, along with the gang rape case from Big Dan’s in New Bedford Massachusetts (which might as well have been a murder since the victim’s life was destroyed and she ended up dead a few years later as a result of severe alcoholism) both woke me up in a huge way to how women are really treated in our society if their interests are ever at odds with a man’s.

I honestly hoped someone would shank Chambers in prison. I hope he doesn’t kill anymore women now that he’s out.

Hopefully he doesn’t settle in NYC this time. He was in Georgia for a while after his first release but followed a GF friend back to New York, where they both dealt drugs. He probably has a GF (or several) through correspondence, is probably holding up with her. Don’t know if his parents are still alive.

His long-term girlfriend, Shawn Kovell, is still in New York. She adored him for some reason, wouldn’t be surprising if he goes there. Unless he has younger groupies he finds more appealing. Really sucks that he’s out.

If he doesn't want to wind up in prison for life, which he deserved, he'd best remain in New York with its lenient way of treating criminals. Georgia would not be as lenient.

Give NY some credit, not lenient the second time. 19 years is a pretty stiff sentence for garden-variety coke dealing out of your apartment. Maybe had something to do with the fact that he injured police officers while resisting arrest? Because you know he’d never hurt anyone *on purpose.*

Yeah, I wouldn't want to live in GA, but if you are going to be murdered, it's a good place to choose. That way you can be sure the person convicted of murdering you will never walk free.

Priorities.

Jack Litman was almost as big a monster as his client. What he put the victim’s family through is unconscionable. Glad he suffered before his death at a relatively young age, and hope he rots in hell.
