Just for fun: Favorite Old-Time Candies

Awesome thread! A couple years ago for Halloween I ordered old time candies from Amazon, and they were a HUGE hit with the parents in the neighborhood.

My favorites were Fun Dip, black licorice like OP, and peanut butter Twix.

Another NECCO fan here. I actually had a roll 2 weeks ago. I was heartbroken when the company folded but the new ones seem to be just like the original so all is good in the world again.

Little rectangular pieces of semi-hard candy. Peanut butter and honey I think? No chocolate and just barely sweet.

Bit O Honey?

We're a fan of bullseyes / caramel creams. Stocked by Stop and Shop so maybe not too old-time, but feels like a throw back!

My son loves salt water taffy but there's something different about how I remember it. Is it different now? I feel like I miss salt water taffy even though I have some in my kitchen right now.

I remember those! Also the colored sugar dots on sheets of paper. Chick-o-stix. Cinn-o-mon Lifesavers, which were white. Whatchamacalits.

What were those foamy orange peanut shaped candies? They we maybe an inch or two long? Not individually packaged. My dad was into them.

My friend introduced me to Werther's original. Then her husband was making fun of us because apparently it's an "old lady candy". Still great IMO.

Went down a bit of a rabbit hole and found this (and other similar sites) with boxes of candies from different decades.

I’d also most forgotten some.
