My favorite actual candies included “Good & Fruity” candy drops which were made by the same company that manufactured “Good & Plenty.”

I also liked Boston Baked Beans as well as those candy sticks that sold for between a nickel to a dime a pop….
They came in EVERY imaginable flavor (Root Beer, Cinnamon, Butterscotch, etc.)

"Yikes! Stripes! Fruit Stripes Gum!" was the commercial for the gum with the zebra stripes. If I remember correctly, cartoon zebras were saying the logo.

Was the other gum with the liquid called Tidal Wave?

There was def one called Chewels, and I’m vaguely remembering one called Squirt.

I saw these at the dollar store!
I almost bought them but didn't want my kids to have that much candy in addition to all the other christmas candy! I'm a hypocrite! I ate so much candy as a kid.

I definitely associate some candies with movie concessions (Good n Plenty, Junior Mints, …). I don’t know if they still have all what I think of as standard movie candies. I just imagine that they do.

My family would buy Andes mints at holiday time. I used to think they were so fancy.

I keep an enormous container of Andes mints in the kitchen at my small business. Perfect little treat mid afternoon with a coffee.

I remember going to 7-11 as a kid and buying handfuls of the loose candies (now a laters, bazooka joe, smarties, bit o honey, etc., from bins on the candy shelf bottom row.

They were anywhere from 3 to 5 cents each. Those were the days! A little brown bag of candy that was all your own!
