| I live in California. I wouldn't go to Florida, even if you paid me. |
| California. There is so much more to see and do there, and there is something for everyone. |
| How is this even a question? California by a long shot!!! |
| Fl due to same time zone and much shorter flight. |
| My parents always called Florida a poor man’s California. I’m not sure who should be more offended. |

It's totally different. We love CA but go not for beaches - even S. CA. It's just beautiful. It's the closest place when going N that I can think of to feeling like I'm in Europe - 101 drive. There are parts of CA that is
We go to FL but we go only because we want to do beach. Or at least that warmth in winter. I would never go to CA for beaches and I would never go to FL for anything other than water/beach excursion. Of course I'd rather fly FL because it's nearer than CA. I think both places are totally screwed up equally though!! FL - not safe, if the water doesn't work, no reason to go. It's just a state full of weirdos and honestly I don't think it's a pretty place beyond a few specifically beautiful spots. I'm not a fan of FL in general but esp now from so many perspectives. CA - it's just as gross and esp N CA with wildfires/weather/gas prices/roads, not exactly awesome. Everything they do is whack. I work in HR and I would never be able to hire from there - everything about CA reg/rules are different than other states! But of course CA is a huge state and there are pockets of amazingness there. I guess I could say the same about TX in the context of a F-uped place!!! LOL |
But reverse for Disney |
And Florida isn’t? But anyway, for winter I would choose Florida, and any other of time of year California. |
Yeah, we know, Californians think they’re too good for everywhere. |

California, not even a competition. Better weather, food, natural beauty, etc.
You'd have to pay me to visit Florida. |
| We love Florida for proximity, easy flights and gorgeous beaches. It’s just such a simple trip. I wouldn’t move there, but love visiting. Relatively affordable too. |

FL Gulf Coast beaches are more family friendly than anything in California, and many of them are just as beautiful.

x1 million on all three points Florida is a shithole. |
Not a native Californian but lived in SD for many years and traveled all over CA extensively and I agree. CA is for doing and adventuring, and has some of the best scenery in the country (and the best light). But if you want a true family beach vacation, FL still wins. |
| Santa Barbara and Carmel all day long |
