She always looks thin and well-dressed.
But I don’t like her, because I don’t get how you can go out and promote childhood mental health and then turn around and allow your children to be working royals. |
| I don't think her children are "working royals", PP. They are pretty much kept out of the limelight during the school year. |
She often mixes in pieces like this, similar to that $20 Zara necklace she wore years ago. |
Sezane, around $150. You shouldn’t embarrass yourself like this. |
| Gem Palace earrings from Jaipur. |
Nope. |
| She needs to give it a rest with the puffy princess sleeves and the flying saucer hats. Love her but her look is not contemporary right now. |
She doesn't do it "often" -- she does it sometimes and it always makes news when she does. Same thing when she rewears items. People notice and it is designed to make her appear more down to earth and relatable. The reason you remember the Zara necklace is because it was an unusual move. Same thing when she wore a pair of $30 Zara earrings to the BAFTAs earlier this year. It's a carefully deployed PR move. She does it with her clothes too, occasionally wearing something form TopShop or a similarly affordable brand. Again, she's not wandering around shopping on a Saturday and stumbling on a cute pair of pants or some earrings and thinking "oh, score!" Her stylists and dressers are likely told to incorporate a handful of affordable items into her wardrobe options periodically because it is beneficial to the Wales' public image. |
+1, it takes two seconds to find this out. She actually wears this brand a lot: https://katemiddletonstyle.org/brand/sezane/ |
+1 I think you have nailed it. She looks so noticeably better, but I see no evidence of work other than Botox. Maybe laser skin treatment? Or perhaps a combo of upgraded wardrobe, hair and minor cosmetic interventions. |
| The earrings are horrendous. |
Yeah, I think it's a bunch of little stuff. Her clothes aren't even noticeably more expensive -- she's still wearing the same designers for the most part, but I think she must have access to really top notch tailoring. She's always liked things to be tailored really close to the body but I think they are taking more time with this and everything lays just perfectly and really accentuates her figure. Like even the tennis outfit she is wearing in that outing with Federer -- I guarantee those pieces were tailored because they are hitting exactly right and skimming the body but not too tight. I think she must have some very good (and expensive) tailors on staff now, whereas before perhaps they were hiring out. Everything just look so perfect. Regarding her hair, it looks more done now. Even when she wears it down or in a ponytail, it looks more polished. Same with her makeup. She's also wearing heavier makeup for daytime events (it was already pretty heavy!) but it's very expertly applied and looks cleaner, especially her eye makeup. Again, I think she's got better people on staff. But probably also some extra cosmetic procedures as well to keep her looking "refreshed". Botox and skin surface intervention -- I really do not see any evidence of fillers and she's still letting her face age. I think her goal is to look her age but the most perfect version of it she can achieve. And she now has the means to do that. |
+1, but I've always hated that look. |
That just means they have a light schedule. They’re still on parade at public events. Doing charity things for media. Etc. |
| I am a woman who is fit, healthy and takes care of herself (mid-50s). I think she is too thin |
