You are so wrong and ignorant. Over a 10 year time span there are 50/50 odds oral birth control will fail.

I went to a very large public university and don’t know anyone that got pregnant Freshman year. Everyone was on birth control pills. I know one person who got pregnant Sophomore year but she had an abortion. I cannot think of anyone who had a baby in college.

I knew several, actually. A couple had their babies and left school or were slow tracked to graduation. But, the rest had abortions and were able to wait until they were more ready to have a baby. I would have done the latter if it were me.

2 of my DD friends that went to a 4 year school will be having a baby by the end of the year... How common is it?

Uncommon and rare in my DD's group of friends. I have not even heard of one case. Come to think of it, I have not even heard of one person in their HS or college having a baby or being pregnant! Who is your DD hanging out with? What SES, what race, what religion, what state?

My DH got his girlfriend pregnant their first semester of college. He 17, she 18. Of course they did not have it. Both now with advanced degrees, both college professors, opposite sides of the country. He told me this on our second date.

Not common at all. I had a niece attend a baptist school, pregnancy is a no no even there, so are the marriages or ring by spring. They do have about 15-20% get engaged by junior year and married after graduation but those are mostly from well off religious families and often going into family business, lucrative jobs, grad or professional school.

Such a bold faced lie

Pregnancy happens at religious colleges a a significantly higher rate.

I knew about 7 girls, all but 2 had abortions.

I suspect I know more than 7 but those are the ones I’m aware of.

You probably are just not aware.

Girls drank like fishes.

My daughter moved to an apartment for quiter soundings and less idiots who came to college with zero sex ed

She loved VT engineering however freshman year her eyes got widened to the disparity of parenting and intelligence. Her words not mine.

I would have taken that to my grave, whether I were the male or female in the story. Who needs to know what happened so young? Political litmus test?

You likely only know a small sliver about what happens in your daughter’s school community and friend circle.

You are living in 60's. World has changed. Everyone is on birth control and has access to condoms, morning after pills and helpful clinics. HIPPA protects privacy.
