People have been spilling the beans for a very long time. Also, like, yeah, they will have mechanical issues. They are aliens, not wizards. |

Well if aliens have been showing up for as long as claim then think about
- they never send anymore after the first ones bc no alien invasion - and don’t say they are planning bc that makes them not much better off than we are in terms of warfare, planning, technology - and they have better stuff going on - and we are so boring they just don’t care! |
It would be an excellent place to hide. |
| When they come it will be like the Twilight Zone episode “To Serve Man”. It’s not going to end well for us. |
|
I like Michael Shermer's recent application of "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence."
"After 73 years since Roswell the best UFOlogists have are grainy videos, blurry photographs, & anecdotes. ETI visitation is an extraordinary claim. Evidence for it isn't even ordinary." |
|
Aliens that visit here are probably not interested in humans at all. Agree oceans probably have a lot more of value than surface for an advanced race.
Humans cannot pose any form of the threat to them if they have to technology to get here and operate for long missions/visits. We are probably 10,000-1 million or more years behind them in technology. If they wanted to take us out; we would not probably even have a weapon that could annoy them. |
The fact that we are intelligent -- and able to wonder about life elsewhere -- gives us a skewed perspective. If life is an extremely rare event, the planet that ends up with life on it is going to think, "how can I be unique in the universe?" The answer is that they are not unique; they are the result of an extremely rare event, but they are also the only planet with the ability to wonder about it. |
And a good article if you want to read a debunking of these cranks: https://quillette.com/2023/06/08/aliens-again/ |

I have another conspiracy theory for you...
Why do the ever surging volumes of bogus UFO / flat earth / moon-landings-were-faked crap overwhelmingly feel like a massive coordinated disinfo campaign? |
| There is an excellent documentary out now about an alien spaceship crash in Brazil in the 1990s. Highly credible. The story that broke this week has been confirmed by a credible mainstream reporter . To those who say other life forms would look or behave nothing like us, may not even have eyes or the desire to fly, etc. I agree with this. But the ones who make it here are probably only a small sample of what’s out there. Mind bending to think their technology could be 10 million years more advanced than our but it’s true. |
Distracting from what? No one cares. Look at how few people are responding to this thread. Even I can barely read an entire article on aliens before clicking away. If it's a disinformation campaign, they need to find a better one. |
What benefit would they get from invading us? They'd have to have some kind of goal. I bet they are just collecting information to understand us, establishing bases in the sea, etc. |

Here are the cliff notes - human society relies and exists on evolutionary advancements.
This is kind of what the militaries of all nations have learned- evolutionary, not revolutionary. Why? Humans can only handle so much psychologically and physically at one time. So; everyone laughing at history channel ancient aliens show and whatever else aired before that least 5 years now know it was conditioning. It was a set up for acceptance by a certain percentage of the population for the masses to fall back on for revolutionary circumstances. It has taken decades to prep the population for “we are not alone” to prevent society from collapsing. The powers to be think most of us are ready to accept humans are not alone; and their are superior technologies operating from other life forms on earth. |
Yep. Compare the capabilities of a modern military and one from, say, 1000 years ago. A single modern division could take out an entire army from 1000 years ago with ease. It would be something like that, but many many times worse. My belief is that any species or civilization that has developed the awesome technology required for interstellar travel has also figured out how to peacefully coexist. If they hadn’t, they would have killed themselves off a long time ago. So I think alien visitors, if there are any, would travel to earth and other life-sustaining planets just to see what the evolutionary process has produced, but not to interfere in that process. |
