Maybe your genetics are the root of your perfect cholesterol. My nutritionist observes the link between coconut oil and high cholesterol in many of her clients. |
I'm a huge yogurt fan here. Whole milk plain is the best. I don't think I'd call it healthy with a tsp of sugar. Although it's not bad it's still refined sugar. If you absolutely have to have something sweet, add a small drizzle of honey. It spikes insulin much less and you get other nutritional benefits. Skyr or whole milk greek yogurt is also really nice spread on crackers, with radishes, dill, salt, pepper. Whole milk yoghurt etc is very satiating. |
Well noted, little miss smug. Meanwhile, I have a gene called familial hypercholesteremia which gives me sky high triglycerides and ldl. Despite a near amazing diet of wholesome homemade food, whole grains, vegetables, legumes, organic this and that, whole fruits, no sugar or junk food. I have a close.friend who is a dietician who says my diet is the best she's seen. She laughs bc she said I'm the only person she's met that eats better than her. I've always had a great diet but it does nothing when you've got FH. So pat yourself on the back, good job that you won the genetic lottery for cholesterol! Next time you hear of someone talking about their cholesterol, don't tell them to skip the McDonald's drive through. Bc guess what, they probably already know to avoid junk food. |
