Your AART “let it slip.”

Troll.

Can you get a private retake sooner for $$$?

But what’s the point? Better to wait till the fall and get the retake through the school.

I wouldn't be surprised if they told everybody tomorrow. That's what they did with the original decision. They announced it a week early.

I’m not holding my breath on early notification. They sent the initial decision right before spring break, which is how it usually goes.

Any chance we’ll find out before Friday? I’m so sick of waiting for info that’s already known/decided.

I just received Level III notification, guess that means my appeal was denied?

My understanding is that they are two separate processes. Level three is done through the school and level four is through the county.

This is so crazy to me. How does the county know better than the school?

Level III is essentially meaningless. Getting or not getting the designation doesn't mean that anyone actually even read an application file. It may just mean that you applied and everyone who applies gets it

Or it could mean that your child is doing well in school.

Right, why bother. The appeal was denied, so the kid isn't in for next fall.

It varies from school to school. In our school our classroom and Aart teachers review and discuss the files and parents are told to fill out referral for consideration

How would a school know better than the county for a county-wide program?

The best bet is to hope the kid blows away the SOLs and use those as the basis of your application. On the other hand, if they bomb them then it will be clear to the committee that they don't actually need liv
