Then why are you responding to a thread about whether your ES kids wear jeans
|
| Never |
| I make mine wear proper jeans/pants because it's like they don't know how real clothing is supposed to feel on their body. They want loosey, comfy clothing all the time. |
| For my 8 and 12 year old boys, only when forced. |
| OP. I didn't want her to wear leggings but after 2 years of jeans she says her friends make fun of her. |
| No, they get too uncomfortable running around at recess and at PE. |
| jeans protect the skin better. an oozing knee scrape bleeding through leggings is gross. |
|
My 4th grade DD has jeans but refuses to wear any kind of pants with a zipper and button. Leggings, athletic wear, all much more comfortable.
Honestly, I rarely wear jeans these days. They're not comfortable. Business casual during the week, athleisure on the weekends. |
"Why were we so comfortable growing up? Oh yeah, the comfortable clothes! " |
| I asked DS to wear jeans to an informal dinner with family friends and he said “Why do you want me to wear church clothes?” My grandparents are rolling in their graves, |
Exactly. I had no idea about jeans being out of fashion for kids. |
| My ES kid wears jeans at least half the time. |
No, never. Leggings and athletic shorts for girls, sweat pants and athletic shorts for boys. Jeans maybe in HS, definitely in college |
This. My kids got so used to the soft fabrics of sweats / leggings etc, they don’t like real jeans, and don’t wear the keg gongs either. after 3 years in sweats I can’t wear the jeans either. |
| …jeggings… not sure how auto correct chanhed jeggings means by “keg gongs” |
