I am a cyclist who used to run, too, but quit after a major injury (can no longer handle high-impact cardio). Biking (outside, not stationary) is incredible for the mind and body. It is very efficient at burning calories, won't bother your knees and will give you incredible endurance as well as build your quads and glutes. Give it a try. |
I recommend more swimming and even some deep water aqua jogging. Great for cardiovascular fitness and no impact.

I'm not specifically focused on running but I've committed to weight training right now for overall health. I joined Syatt Fitness "Inner Circle" - a bargain at $25/month. There is a video library - included in it is a video on running and weight as well as exercises to do if you have "cranky knees". |
Nonsense, an effective strength training program will display significant increases within weeks. A (Concept 2) rowing machine is a great complement to running. Consider adding some push-ups and overhead presses with barbell or dumbells. |
I love Cupshe brand on amazon. I have several coverups from there, cute styles/good quality and not expensive. |
