Only if you don't enjoy it. Some of us do. |
It’s also horrible for the environment. |
I would agree. But that is not going to stop people from buying all things. Plus, it lets the manufacturers off the hook. They could make things -even fewer things- with less packaging, plastic, etc. They have a role in this and could mitigate some of the issues. I rarely shopped at TM (as there isn't one near me) but I def have my share of "stuff" and it gets rotated and packed away each season. I guess you want me to say sorry? |
Exact same for me |
As long as you reuse stuff a long time and don’t need to “update” and “modernize” every holiday that’s fine. But all this hand wringing about Tuesday Morning and Christmas Tree Shop closing is sad. They are closing because no one is buying and that’s good! |
The stores are closing because people are not buying stuff there. If they were really food desks or had interesting stuff, people would still go.
They are going out if business because now it’s easier for people to compare prices online and realize all those great deals, we’re not so great. |
I'm happy to have your approval. ![]() |
Sad that the supply of discounted Nutcrackers is now closed off locally. |
I’ve never been to Tuesday Morning but it’s like Marshall’s/TJ max, right? Those places really are bad I think. It’s just full of crap. Even if you need something and think to go in there, they’ll only have the crappiest version of whatever it is. |
Yes but don’t tell the disciples that. It’s a religion to them. I mean, where would we all be without wooden signs in the kitchen reminding us of our blessings? |
I started going there in the 90s. Walking distance. I bought bedding, rugs, odds n ends. Loved it. |
In the 90s they would actually get nice quality stuff. Their lamps were better quality than the stuff at AtHome etc. It was great when I was young and furnishing my first house. |
In the beginning they were more home furnishings and higher end than you'd find at Marshalls and TJs. Eventually there was less and less of that. |
if they are there, why would you be embarrassed? I'm sad, too. But, it really started to go downhill when the pandemic hit with the supply chain issues. Their store shelves were running on empty. |
? they have other stuff there, too. You could find great kitchen items. My DH would scour their kitchen aisles. |
