Is anyone else sad about the demise of Tuesday Morning? It was always a fun place to waste ![]() |
I love Marshall’s/HomeGoods/TJ Maxx and the thrifting/estate sales etc. but strangely I never got into Tuesday Morning. Only went there a few times. |
I thought it sucked. So much wasted potential. |
I’m sad about this. My local Tuesday Morning closed years ago. I bought all holiday and birthday gifts there and many many home accessories. |
What??
They carried high quality bed linens. That's about all I ever purchased there, but they had boutique-quality, also in unusual sizes such as California King. |
I used to drive from to Fairfax to go to Tuesday even though there was one in downtown Vienna where I lived. It was near the old McGruders behind Fosters Grill, and even after the shopping center was renovated adding Cava, Chopt, Ben & Jerry, sushi restaurant, etc.. Tuesday Morning didn’t change. It was a dump.,I always wanted to run there for last minute items but everything was dusty and dark. The floor seemed to sink in as you walked through. By then I had discovered Home Goods and Marshall’s which always had new and up to date items. I can see why TM eventually failed. |
Always worried I’d run into someone I knew at TM. So embarrassing. |
I always thought it was full of junk. |
My mom used to drag me in there when I was little and I hated it. So much junk. I’m surprised it lasted as long as it did. |
I never liked it but I remember the 80s when it would pop up randomly in empty storefronts for a while and then disappear. My mom went wild for it. |
It’s full of treasures!!! |
Agree! I found so many cool things there. |
I found so many decorative items there for my home and for gifts |
I love it for cheap dog toys. My dog loves to tear apart plush toys and I can (could?) happily stock up at Tuesday Morning and not care that they got destroyed quickly. |
I think all of these places should close. Gullible women don’t need to be told that they must decorate for every minor holiday or change all their throw pillows and blankets every season. It’s a waste of…everything, especially time. |
