The city sent out an email earlier today that started:
The City of Alexandria asks the community to be vigilant about the dangers of illicit drugs following two recent suspected drug overdoses involving school-aged youth. |
I know! It's so hard to be a progressive Democrat politician in Alexandria. Even harder in a district where parents rarely show up to school board meetings. Add to that a city that bizarrely worships local government officials. So hard! ![]() |
Still no announcement… |
Anyone watching the SB meeting?? |
It doesn't matter. No way this school board would hire someone who would actually turn ACPS around and no way Alexandrians would accept a person who could do that anyway. Also, how did Hutchings get a spot on the board of the National Children's Museum? He did so much harm to kids...that he serves on that board is laughable. |
I just want the name! |
It’s Melanie Kaye-Wyatt |
Incurred significant cost of search firm to hire the interim. Obviously no one wanted the job. |
Hutchings' hand picked replacement. Things will get even worse. Congratulations Alexandria...you elected the school board who enthusiastically approved Hutchings 2.0.
Hilarious. |
Superintendents are hard to come by these days. Look at the dregs FCPS had to choose from last year. |
DCUM experts keeping up the streak of also being wrong. |
Hutchings is still in charge. Wonder how much his consulting contract with ACPS is worth. |
+1 except it's sad not hilarious |
I've spent years advocating for change in ACPS. There is a big advocate for ACPS in my neighborhood. If you criticize ACPS in any way she'll call you a racist etc, try to organize people against you. It's pathetic. She walks her middle school kid to the GW bus stop everyday because she doesn't want them to cross the street alone. Doesn't seem to register that is the time the kid is safest all day long. Alexandria is hilarious. That's why it's a joke in Richmond for Ds and Rs. |
