What to do in Baltimore from 6PM-10PM at night?

Little Italy-it will be busy on a Saturday night so plenty of people around to feel safe. Park somewhere close to the restaurants or do a restaurant with valet if you are unsure of the area. Vaccarro's is the best! The restaurants in Harbor East have valet which makes it easy.

Not true! I was in Baltimore and saw a gangster eat a rat... Well, I admit, it wasn't a rat, it was a soft taco... And I can't confirm it was a gangster. He just had that... color about him. You could tell! True story.

Little Italy is great, but consider going to The Helmand for a great Afghan meal. The restaurant is iconic in Balto, and is owned by Hamid Karzai's brother.

Then I would walk to Vaccarro's for dessert.

The O's game would be fun (it's a gorgeous park) but there's no good food to be had. So maybe watch an inning or two and then bounce?

Fun fact: Last week I walked from Penn Station to the Inner Harbor around midnight with a girlfriend. And I lived to tell the tale! Gasp.

The art museum is open late one night; not sure which night but might be worth checking?

Wrap your DD in bubble wrap for the rest of her life. She’ll need it.

OP doesn’t specify her kid’s age but generally controlled independence is a good thing. Once she’s off to college, she’ll be able to do whatever she wants and needs to know how to navigate situations like this.

I lived in Federal Hill and worked in Baltimore years ago. The city has sadly changed and the comments about being careful are not a joke. There aren’t any safe areas anymore. Not federal hill or even around the four seasons.

It is sad. I limit my time in Baltimore to just an occasional Orioles game. I’ve heard bad things about the Inner Harbor, but I haven’t been there for a few years. Whether true or not, sounds like Harborplace is shuttered. Harbor East, which I also haven’t been to in a couple years, always felt safe. PP, what’s not safe about Four Seasons/Harbor East area?

After dinner I’d head to one of the hotel bars or lobbies and chill until pickup time.

Harbor East for a long dinner, maybe start out with shopping or a cocktail in the same area. They have parking garages so you don’t have to worry about looking for street parking.

That was a monumentally stupid thing to do.

I'd go to Harbor East. There's a lot of good restaurants and bars to occupy your time.

Crime spills over into that area. While it looks nice with upscale shops etc. last time I was there (in broad daylight) I saw a crime in progress. Police got there fast but someone was either seriously injured or murdered.
