What to do in Baltimore from 6PM-10PM at night?

Anonymous
DD is going to the Lizzo concert in Baltimore at CFG Bank Arena with a friend and we are driving her up and back. Any suggestions for things for hubby and I to do while we wait from roughly 630PM-1030PM? Haven't been up there in at least 5 years, so not sure what is even open at this point - especially in the Inner Harbor area. Thanks so much!

Stay indoors.

I think there is an Orioles game that night and then maybe a restaurant at the Inner Harbor that stays open late? Those seem like safe options.

This. Don’t be stupid.

I would go to a nice dinner, then if you have time dessert at Vaccaros or someplace.

The 4S has a couple good restaurants, or Cinghale and Charleston are still good.

Federal Hill is safe and has places to eat.

If you are a baseball fan, I'd go to the Orioles game. They are playing Tampa Bay and it should be a good game. If not a baseball fan, I'd go over to Fells Point or Harbor East - plenty of restaurant options there. There isn't much at all at the Inner Harbor anymore (newly sold and redevelopment plans in process). The biggest challenge is that it is a Tuesday night - not much open late on a Tuesday. But ignore people who are trying to scare you. There are plenty of places in the city that you can go safely. If you tell me what kind of food you like I can make restaurant suggestions. We eat in the city all the time. Don't want to stay downtown? Drive up to the north part of the city to see Hopkins campus (yes, the Homewood campus is safe) and the beautiful neighborhoods of Roland Park and Guilford. Have dinner at Petit Louis in Roland Park.

Another vote for the Orioles game 🧡🖤 If that’s a hard no The Black Olive in Fells Point is amazing.

OP here - thanks for all the ideas and good to know that Inner Harbor has changed. For dinner we like seafood or Italian ( suggestions welcome) and I’ll definitely check out availability for the Orioles game.

You can go to Little Italy section of Baltimore and get dinner and dessert while playing bocce ball

For more upscale Italian, I'd look at Cianghale in Harbor East. https://cgeno.com/ They also have lots of seafood on the menu. Another Italian option is Marta in Butcher's Hill - really, really good and great atmosphere. https://www.martabaltimore.com/ More traditional Italian - in Little Italy I'd suggest Cafe Gia. https://cafegiabaltimore.com/cafe-gia-baltimore-italian-restaurant/ Or go over to Locust Point (the other side of the harbor) to Limoncello. https://www.limoncellobaltimore.com/

For seafood - In Fell's Point I recommend Thames Street Oyster House which I think has some of the best food in Baltimore (and has a lot of charm, too). https://thamesstreetoysterhouse.com/ The recommendation from a PP for The Black Olive is good but I admit that I haven't been there for many years. I'd avoid any of the Atlas Group owned restaurants (there are many of them) - overpriced and mediocre.

Orioles game
Restaurant in harbor East, fells point, or fed hill. Lemoncello is decent

I would absolutely get dinner in little Italy and then go have a coffee and dessert at Vaccaro’s. Little Italy is totally fine to walk around in and better food than Inner Harbor

Dinner at Amiccis in Little Italy. Their shrimp bowl (or panini for two) was just as incredible two weeks ago as it was 20
Years ago. Save room for cannoli at Vacarro's before you waddle back to get the kid. 😀
