Tell me about Northwest high school

The ratings seem to be decent although it does have one of the highest rates for reported crime among MCPS high schools, just for this school year. I don't know if that's a good thing (that cops were called when needed) or not.

My kid was at NW for two years. He liked it. The school is very academic oriented.

The other way you could look at it is that the Principal there doesn't sweep all the issues under the rug.

Most of the people I've known who've attended NW are Asians who have done well there, both with academics and extracurriculars.

It's a very diverse school with a large student population.

QO hasn't had as many kids .urdered by fellow classmates so there's that.

The student that was murdered, was murdered by a drug dealer, not a student. The student that was murdered also had a father that was arrested in the past few months for sexually molesting children which points to why this poor child was mixed up with the drug dealer.
