Moon
McDaniel
And …. I guess Webb.

Delegate Rip Sullivan of McLean just endorsed Moon, Webb, and Munir today, and each has been endorsed by many members of the VA legislature.

Haven't seen any of the other candidates endorsed by any Delegates or Senators.

McDaniel has a pretty impressive list of endorsements. I think he and Moon are probably top two right now.

Does Webb have children in school?

Does McDaniel have any members of the Virginia legislature endorsing him?

I’ll vote for Moon and McElveen, not because they were on the SB before but because they are more attuned to the issues that matter in our area. After that, probably Davis for a different perspective. McDaniel, Munir, and Webb seem interchangeable - basically Laura Jane Cohen clones with a Y chromosome.

I totally got excited seeing this subject line thinking this far too big school system was being split in two. Alas.

I just read Webb’s questionnaire. He doesn’t seem to know anything about FCPS. Being on falls Church city’s school board is not good training for FCPS school board. Also suggests he is new to FCPS and that is not a good quality in a school board member.

I like Lawrence although he's not a good campaigner. I think being on the Falls Church SB is a good experience to have because it at least means he's done the job before even if it was for a school system much much smaller. Lawrence will be my third-ranked vote, not first.

Do we really need another Karl Frisch?

Why do you say that? Just because they're both gay?

How should it be split? A good split would be Region 3 + Region 4 + Woodson + Fairfax as the southern half. And Region 1 + Region 2 + Chantilly + Westfield as the northern half.

Lawrence Webb is a foster dad, not sure if it’s a foster-to-adopt scenario.

That’s not how it works. The Democratic At-Large SB endorsement vote will be the top three out of Moon, McDaniel, McElveen, Webb, and Munir.

The Republicans already endorsed AuCoin and Davis.

The winners of the two endorsements will appear on the November ballot, with the top three getting seats.

I know exactly how it works, but thanks for being pedantic and assuming otherwise.

Given their past service and greater name recognition, Moon and McElveen are likely to be in the top 3 among the 5 seeking the Democratic endorsement.

Since I don't currently have much reason to vote for McDaniel, Webb, or Munir, Davis stands to get my third at-large vote in the general election.
