I drink coffee every morning, it does nothing. I also only poop once a week, if that. I eat a lot of fiber too, I'm a healthy eater.


WTH! My doc says you’re constipated if you don’t poop more than once a day.

I would die.


I don't think so....if it's normal for you to poop once a week then that's what is normal. I poop once every week or two.

My DH is like this and as a result he has an amazing knowledge of public bathrooms all over DC. He also swears by dude wipes, which are individually packaged and flushable wipes he gets on Amazon.

I have a hyperactive bowel, which doc says is normal, but I’ve never had it that bad. I would see a GI, you probably have IBS.


This happens to my DH several times a year (i know, its unbelievable). He talked to a doc and nothing wrong with his GI. They said find a porta potty on your route

No, this is not true. You are literally full of crap right now unless you eat like a bird. With a healthy digestive system you go at LEAST once a day and often once after every meal.

You can control a lot of this with diet, in most cases (I know there are medical exceptions).

I do not eat anything too heavy in fiber, dairy, or protein during the day before running. Simple carbs that are easy on my stomach 2 hours before seems to be the sweet spot for me. There is a reason bagels are the famous pre-race meal. After running, high on fiber and protein.

I only poop once a week also and I am a runner and in good shape

I only poop once a week also and I am a runner and in good shape

+1. My friend who only poops once a week has an eating disorder. It's a symptom of a very slow metabolism.

As a fast metabolizer, I poop 2-3 times per day.

I'm an office pooper. My poops are regularly timed to come right after breakfast and lunch. Sorry, bro, I gotta eat lunch at work.
