We had to go and complicate it.

Why is it complicated? If two people want to dedicate their lives to each other, it is a marriage. If you don't like two people of the same sex getting married, that is a you problem, not a them problem.

+1000

Someone else's marriage has nothing to do with you or your marriage.

Separate isn’t equal. I thought we covered that already but perhaps not.

Sometimes it is.

No it’s not. The Supreme Court determined that marriage is so foundational in law and society that any marriage-ish substitute would not cut it.

Legum is a far left activist and is looking for clicks.

And, as for Justin Pearson.... He has changed incredibly in the last 7 years. Almost unrecognizable as the person he was.......

Why, because he let his hair grow longer and uses sunday preacher style oratory for floor speeches?

Yawn.

Are you kidding?
He looks and acts like a totally different person.

Will the real Justin Pearson please stand up.

After yesterday's story was published and spread rapidly online, Sexton did communicate with Phil Williams, a high-profile Tennessee reporter. Williams reported that "Sexton argues, as Speaker, he has to be in Nashville so often that it's easier to have his family here." So now we know the answer to the question: Sexton, and his family, live in Nashville.”

Once again, YAWN.

Hasn’t he also been collecting per diem every legislative day for having to travel to and stay in Nashville away from “home”?

He "lives in Nashville" like AOC lives in DC.
Do you think all the Congressmen and women and Senators commute to and from DC and their home districts every day? Or, even every weekend? Do you think none of them have their families with them in DC?
Sexton is the speaker of the house in Nashville. Crossville is more than 2 hours from Nashville, and that is if Rt. 40 isn't backed up. And, the TN rules allow for this.

Once again, a claim from Legum. Unless other, more reputable sources pick up such a story, I simply don't believe it.

7 years ago he was only 21 years old.

The dollar figures are from the Tennessee House ledger.

I don’t understand why Tennessee doesn’t just ban guns completely ?

Usually people mature in 7 years. He didn't.
He had a total metamorphosis.

Think.... you will come up with a reason.
Perhaps consider the founding document on which this country was founded. That would be a good start.

Ok, I’m actually on the side of marriage equality.

I just think it would have been less religious/semantics argument if we had done the civil union licenses and ceremonies like they do in Europe. If people then want to go get the “marriage” sacrament performed, that’s their prerogative

We obviously can’t go back in time now-but it would have saved a lot trouble.
