OK, all nuns are not bad. But killing children is very bad. |
The full bad-apple reference is "A few bad apples spoil the whole barrel." |
No, but they were predominantly homosexual pedophiles. |
Rehashed. It's a cumulative review of past cases. None of the perps listed are alive. Ten names are redacted. |
That is not true. A number are still alive - https://www.wbaltv.com/article/list-of-abusers-church-sex-abuse-report-archdiocese-of-baltimore/43520595# |

For those who watched our Baltimore based “The Keepers” story on Netflix, the Archdiocese of Baltimore (AOB) lied to our survivors, our producers and the public. They knew that Father Maskell was ordained in 1965, removed from his first parish in 1966 for sexual activity with Boy Scouts, then moved to St Clement’s Church where he was in charge of a Boy Scout troop and abused boys and girls, then shuffled to our Archbishop Keough High School in 1967 after abuse allegations at St Cements. When our survivors came forward in 1992 - they said Jean’s was the first allegation of abuse they ever had against Maskell. Their lawyers portrayed our two survivors who tried to file a civil case as crazy/delusional/confused. The church knew the whole time they were telling the truth.
When our documentary was released in 2017, the AOB ran a PR campaign called Fact or Fiction and said our story was fiction. They published articles denying any prior knowledge of Maskell’s abuse, and this was while the current Archbishop Lori was in charge. They lied, over and over - further harming the survivors they allowed to be assaulted in the first place. Our story was true. |

Many of these priests are names we already knew from prior investigations. Is this new information? Rehashed information + new information? Awful either way, though. This is not true. Many of the abuser priests are alive and unknown to their neighbors. Some live in nice retirement communities. They are not on abuser registries, they pass background checks as had no convictions. They had no convictions because both church and state worked together to protect them. There were 43 previously unknown clergy abusers from AOB found in the AG investigation, and the archdiocese is paying to redact their names and the names of high ranking clergy who covered up the abuse. https://www.baltimoresun.com/maryland/bs-md-catholic-coverup-20230408-zryrofbvmrb6zkhyzonyclfxsi-story.html |
| Why does the Catholic Church attract so many sociopaths. I get the reason gay men or pedophiles used to think the church was good place to hide out. But the sheer sociapathic and violent behavior of nuns and priests towards kids and teens in orphanages,Irish laundries, forced boarding schools—its mind boggling. Whipping and beating wasn’t enough, they got off on torturing young people. Anyone who sits in a Catholic Church every Sunday is complicit in this coverup. Still. |
No they were not. It’s a crime of opportunity male abusers are more likely to work at all boys schools. When moved to girls schools they continued to abuse. |
Why are posters like you sociopaths? Who put gay and pedophile in a sentence as if they are similar or even related. |
Over 95% of the victims (children) of these priests were male. 100% of the priests are/were men. How can you not say homosexual pedophile priests are/were the problem. Good lord. And I will throw in any straight priests who covered for them. Wish they could’ve locked all these sickos up but please do not cover for priests just because they are gay. Not all gay priests were pedophiles but these ones certainly were. |
| Oh, and Happy Easter everyone! |
There has to be a sexual attraction first - it’s not just about the opportunity part. |
| Let priests marry. Get rid of the gay/pedophile problem and you will go a long way to fixing this problem. Francis has already set this in motion with his recent comments on priests and marriage. |
A person who prays in a Catholic church and tries to live a life like Christ is complicit in child abuse? Hmm. You need help with your anger and bigotry. |
