43 and the

I do tons of cardio and lift. Cutting back on alcohol was the one thing that allowed me to finally start dropping pounds after my late 40's

Goal weight x 12

Eat your goal weight in protein. For example, if goal weight is 125, eat 125 grams of protein

Weights and HIIT

Don't eat more just because you're exercising

There are many fit 60+ women. Look up Joan MacDonald and Susan Nierbergall on instagram

Did you mean goal weight x 10? Because your example is that.

Calorie goal is goal weight x 12

If you're eating the right nutrient-dense foods, you'd be surprised at how little you need to feel satiated. You only feel hungry all the time if your diet is based on bread and sugar and suddenly you try to live on SlimFast or whatever.

Not OP but could you explain this to me and what I’m doing wrong? It’s exactly what I did - went from a period of too much bread/sugar/alcohol and started Slim Fast and I’m absolutely starving.

Bad news OP -
Quit drinking
Lift heavy
Eat Clean

Then you'll lose weight. And feel great. But it will suck at first.

Sim fast isn’t the right nutrient dense food. You have to eat real food that isn’t processed. Slim fast might have some nutrients in it, but it’s processed to get that way. Not the same as eating real Whole Foods.

I am going to read “fast like a girl” about timing fasting with hormones. But I’ve read some of her stuff already and since I have done IF on and off I made some adjustments. But I also don’t weigh myself often.

I had to get on the scale two weeks ago and I have gained 10lbs in 4 years. But I wear the same size 6/small clothes and they are even a little loose. I lift weights a lot but I hate the number I saw and feel I need to make changes.

44 and 5’5.
