Tucker Carlson hypes Kremlin Agitprop as defacto Putin mouthpiece in US

All this talk about Tucker is ridiculous. I don't agree with him, but some of his comments are certainly worthy of contemplation.

Funny, that so many people against Tucker think that John Kerry is just wonderful. But, I remember when he was condemning American soldiers when we still had soldeirs in Vietnam.

Better to discuss policy before we send "advisors" there. Or, do we already have "advisors" there. To those younger than I, that is how our involvemenrt began in Vietnam--with "advisors."

The person who deserves criticism is Biden:

Removing objections to Nordstream

awful pull-out of Afghanistan--indicating that we do not stand with our friends--and put our troops at great risk.

Comments on whether Russia committed a "minor" or "major" incursion

But, for those actions on Biden's part--we might not be having this discussion about Tucker. Russia just might have stayed home.

See, you lost me here. Russia/Putin has been planning this for more than a decade. All the other dominos fell according to plan. They were never staying home . They just thought, with TFG in charge, winning would be easier.

This makes no sense. They waited til Trump was gone. If they thought it would be easier then, why didn't they do it then?

Because they thought Trump was going to win another term, because most sitting presidents usually do.

They didn't need to. Trump was undoing NATO and undermining Ukraine from the White House.

They thought Trump had it taken care of that he would win again.
If they hurry too much, they can't even pretend that they aren't warmongering.

The Russians also saw j6 and thought republicans would rally to Russia. It just took a little longer but republicans are fully supportive of Russians action.

Some are but many aren't. It's important to remember that.

I remember. We'll see if they can hold up against the pressure.

No.

There is a long distance from being gung ho on defending Ukraine and supporting Russia. Quit gaslighting.

Most Republicans are supportive of Ukraine--they just don't want us to get into a war.

And, having been in Cold War Germany for years, it is time for Germany to step up with NATO. Maybe, they are doing better, but they are not there yet.

Don't want to get into a war? Ludicrous. These are the exact same Republicans who were good with eternal neverending war in Afghanistan and who got upset about the withdrawal.

Pretty sure that Trump was trying to get us out of Afghanistan. We had few soldiers there and no deaths the year before, I think. He for sure would not have left all that equipment there.

Are you for real? He set up that crap deal and then made it impossible for his successor to do anything. Grow up and stop worshipping a foolish and wicked man.

Not to mention, most of the "all that equipment" you're referring to had been transferred to the Afghan National Army and Afghan police over the span of the 20 years prior to our withdrawal. Including by Trump himself.

There were no deaths because he and Pompeo negotiated with the Taliban and guaranteed and exit that he left to Biden to clean up. And how benefits from the US out of Afghanistan? Russia.

Please stop being so obtuse.

Do you think he's paid by the Kremlin? Why would he do Putin's bidding?

NP. No, but he’s figured out that there’s a lot of hay to be made by entertaining discussions about taboo topics. But even then honeypot should still be avoided.

The Ukrainian war is a bigger mess than we are told (simple version: when did you last hear about casualties in this war of attrition?), but Tucker still isn’t worth listening to for other reasons.

Numbers for estimated Russian casualties are easily/widely available, but I agree, Ukrainian are less so.

Actually what you mean is that the pundits have been told not to opine on the number of Ukrainian casualties as it interferes with the rah rah narrative.

No, that's not what I mean. All numbers are estimates at this point but estimates on the Russian dead are more available than Ukrainian.

I wonder what Carlson has to gain by propping up Russian propaganda....

His base would be the ones who would fight and die? Why is it in the interests of southern white dudes to go fight in Europe?

Just like it was totally in their interests to go to Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam, panama,
