Its not. They are messes because of lots of other liberal policies related to sentencing and other drug use, not weed related. Other people see that and slippery slope their way up to pot... gateway drug and all that nonsense. Is it really harmless to make it easier for people to develop habits that diminish the quality of their lives? “But it feels good” you might say. Rats pressing levers feel good too. If you promote weed then you’re pushing back against things that might be more spiritually useful - exercise, conversation, reading, even plain boredom. It’s not the worst thing in the world but neither is it purely morally neutral.

Selfish are the ones who want to punish me for smoking in my own home. Tobacco is not criminalized so does that mean that you are too stupid to make an apt comparison?
