Why isn’t College Park on this list?

With those stats she might get some nice merit aid.

Is money no object? If so, can’t she sign up for ballet classes privately?

I’m not OP, but do you not see UMD on the list?

Sorry, OP here, should have specified UMD-CP. She's not interested in ES or Baltimore.

Wesleyan isn't a match for an unhooked applicant - it would be a reach.

Does her HS have a history of getting unhooked students into your SLAC reaches?

She should look at some women's SLACs also. My DD didn't think she wanted that but then we toured some that she liked.

Are you using a Fiske guide?

I think your list looks pretty good. I'm surprised you didn't find ballet at SUNY Stony Brook, but how about SUNY Purchase?

I like the suggestion of Delaware, and how about Syracuse or Ithaca?

I don't really think she needs too many safeties, though. Good luck!

I think Wesleyan and Hamilton she reaches, just due to acceptance rates. Hamilton was 11% last year, Wesleyan just slightly higher.

I’m not crazy about ED but it is critical to apply ED to the slacs as that is when they take most of their class. If your dd strongly prefers SLACs, I would plan on having an ED1 and ED2 option. I would also add another 2 to 3 on the match/reach category as the ones you have are near impossible to get into. Schools like Bowdoin, Moddlebury, Davidson.

But, what is the major?

She said not urban (and it’s “Pitt” not “UPitt”).

and also UPitt is as urban as UMD, which is on OP's list.

Muhlenberg?

You list looks good. But I agree one or two more safeties would be reassuring.

Muhlenberg would be an excellent choice.

Agree! Think this one is being added. Good dance department, not too far away. Very grateful for the assistance!

Not a safety but oberlin? Kenyon? Grinnell

I don't know that I'd call Kenyon or Oberlin safeties.

How about Salisbury or Frostburg State for state schools? Washington College is a good suggestion, but it's a private college, I think.
