Yes I would open the door. I would hope that if I had some reason to ring a strangers doorbell they would open the door for me. |
Get a ring so you can talk to them from the comfort of your beds. This morning I didn’t get out of bed until noon! |
You would ring someone's doorbell at 8am? |
Newsflash, Einstein: not everyone has kids. |
Do you really think there is only one way to do life and it's your way and no other way? I have been asleep many mornings at 8am and yes I have kids. |
Not op, but it’s noon California time and I’m still in bed. I’m a nanny and start work at 3pm. I’m on call and the kids went to school, so I’m home being paid to be in bed until noon. |
I’ve ring doorbells at 2am when my car broke down driving between home and college. |
Sounds like they did you a favor - you should open the door and thank them. |
But you wouldn’t do this in the age of smartphones. |
Because smartphones never run out of battery 🪫 life? |
Someone could be asleep at *any* hour of the day. By that logic, no one should ever ring a doorbell. The point is not that some people might be asleep at 8am on a Monday. The point is that the OP made it seem like it was unreasonable to ring the bell at that time. Which is a little absurd. It's entirely reasonable to believe that people aren't still in bed at 8:00 on a weekday. |
8am is a perfectly fine time to ring the doorbell. 9pm is another issue!!! |
I thought everyone had Ring or equivalent doorbell these days...simple you can talk to them via the camera and ask what they want without opening the door. Even if you aren't home you can talk to people at your door. |
Only if youre an idiot |
1. Most people have regular doorbells. 2. A lot of people, with kids or without, wake up at all hours. You should know by now that not everyone has the same work schedule. |
