Can you disclose (generally) what their GPA is like? Is it all 4.0?

No, definitely not all 4.0. But all students with about a 3.5 or better.

There is no GPA requirement...was pretty shocked when I read the rubric.

Yes, I don't think I realized that either, but when the other rubrics are analyzed even SWW seems like it interviews students beyond the very top. Anecdotally, I think that isn't true.

Honestly, it seems like a lot of the rubrics use the same language.

My DC interviewed at Banneker 2 weeks ago, 2 friends interviewed the week before.
Had not heard from McKinley Tech re interview until this week but a few friends had interviewed early Feb.
The schools are sending interview invites in waves.

Would you be able to speak to the structure of the interviews and any noticeable differences in approach or application?

I wonder if there was a cutoff this year. I'm honestly surprised we haven't heard.

McKinley Tech pretty much takes everyone who applies.
They cannot afford to be choosy as they need to fill spots and there is limited interest in the school

Never heard from them last year..Flipped our lottery rankings and made Walls our top choice. Ended up there. Just be prepared to do so.

This actually isn't true. I teach middle school in DCPS and I have students who didn't get in.
