Dark green.

Mine is dark green, but I did it 10 years ago. It's true what they say.. a fad comes back every 10 years. I was just a head of my time. I love my green kitchen. Beats depressing grays.

Don't do white. It gets dirty very easily, and looks dingy in no time. It looks great in magazines and when you show off your home, but for everyday living, it's not really practical.

Wood Cabinets Gain Popularity: White cabinets remain the most popular choice in renovated kitchens (40%), followed by wood-tone cabinets, which gained 3 percentage points and now stand at 24%. Among the 46% of homeowners who select an island cabinet color that contrasts the color of the main cabinets, the popularity of blue and gray declined slightly (to 24% from 26%, and to 15% from 18%, respectively), while black, medium-tone wood and dark wood saw increases (to 12% from 10%, to 12% from 10% and to 11% from 6%, respectively).

It may not be "in" right now but I don't think it's ever "out".

In watching pro designers on Instagram, I think they're still doing a lot of wood and white, but I'm also seeing black and blue again. Colors, in general, are warmer than a few years ago.

Lots more variety in door front style and hardware, too!

I sometimes think the designer show houses are where designers use trendy things that they haven't been able to get clients to use. Christopher Peacock's kitchen for the 2019 Kips Bay show house was olive green. The 2021 Kips Bay house in Dallas had a sage green kitchen. The 2022 Kips Bay Palm Beach kitchen was kelly green! 2022 in Dallas was black and white (with red, patterned wallpaper).

I love white kitchens they are classic and timeless. Can't go wrong with white. Now dark brown cabinets look so dated.

The cabinet supplier we are working with told us last week that all of his customers are looking for wood tones and color. Says he hasn't done an all white kitchen in a long time, where it used to be just about all anyone wanted. He does see mixing of, say, white perimeter cabinets with a blue or green island, or uppers vs lowers - but no more stark all white all around. Grey seems to be out too, according to what he is seeing.

Just one supplier's data point on current customer observations, but I thought it was interesting.

I hate my white kitchen. Every little thing shows, feel like I'm constantly cleaning.

Disagree. I have a white kitchen and I like that I can see when a cabinet or the backsplash needs to be wiped.

I disagree with this statement.

White on white on white is out but you can still do white cabinets with a statement countertop (think Calcutta with heavy graining, or warm toned graining on white) and a backsplash that isn’t white subway tile. Carry the stone up the for the backsplash for a classic and high-end look. Brass hardware is also in right now but will probably go out soon but is easy and cheap to change out. Or stick with brushed nickel to stand the rest of time, but go with more substantial and sleek pieces to modernize it.

Also white farmhouse sinks are out.

I've never liked stark white paint on anything and have never understood that choice.

+1 We've had a white kitchen for 30 years. I never tire of white cabinets and hardwood floors.
