Me again. I think it also depends on what classes the kid took to get the A-/B+. My kid has 13 APs/DEs including Calc 3, so did take a rigorous courseload. My husband and I also went to VT. Where else has you child applied/been accepted? |

Weird time of year to be asking this.
If they want LAC: Dickinson, SMCM, Conn, Juniata. Large publics might include Pitt, Penn State or U of Delaware. |
Wake Forest doesn’t belong in this group, their acceptance rate is going to be around 15 percent this year. |
Did your son apply ED? |
| CNU is still taking applications until 3/1 |
Mind sharing DC's GPA (UW/W), SAT/ACT and ECs? Thanks! |
+1 Also check with VCU, GMU, Mary Wash, ODU, Radford. See where late apps will be accepted if past the deadline. If VT is desired, start at Radford then transfer. |
| My B+ student (3.7 UW/4.0 W) was accepted at UMW, CNU, SMCM, Mount Holyoke, Juniata |
3.5/4.0, 1460, Robotics (programming team) and tennis were his focus for ECs |
|
| What’s SMCM? |
| Pitt, Elon, UMBC, Fordham, Syracuse, Drexel, Penn State |
St. Mary’s College of Maryland. |
Those are great college outcomes for his profile, especially for CS! Congratulations! |
DP but not surprising about MH. Not that selective but is a great school! |
