I'm on the lowest dose (2 weeks in) and no side effects whatsoever. |
Yes. I plan to be on it for a long time. I was over 300lbs, now down to my lowest of 154. I was invited back by Novo Nordisk to be in a maintenance trial. |
That’s great! |
I was on Ozempic, started at lowest dose and ramped up (went off it after 3 months and minimal weight loss). No side effects other than pretty bad reflux. |
I’m on ozempic. No side effects bad also no appetite suppression. It’s only week 3 of 0.25, so hopefully at a higher dose it will work for me. |
Hang in there. Most don’t see any loss until 1mg. |
Vomit and toilet issues for 5 weeks. They don’t tell you that’s how you lose weight. |
I'm on my 6th dose (at .50 right now) and have had zero side effects. But that's just me and that could change with higher doses. I will say that I read similar comments to the one that you read and was so concerned about nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, etc. that I delayed starting the medication, which I regret. All I can tell you is that the people who have had a negative experience are more motivated to post negative comments than those who are not experiencing side effects. Same thing with positive reviews on Yelp and other such sites. Try it and see how you feel. If you get unacceptable side effects then stop taking the medication. Same as with any other medication. |
This is just not true. For people who don't have side effects (like me), the medication is very effective--without vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, constipation, etc. Whenever I start a new medication, my doctors tell me to report back on any side effects so they can put me on something else, lower the dose, or whatever. Same thing applies to Wegovy and other drugs like it. |
Week 2, lowest dose. A bit of occasional nausea so far, but that's it and covered by ginger chews. I think about 80 percent of people experience very mild side effects, and 15-20 experience moderate to severe enough to stop side effects.
For the first injection, I took some non drowsy dramamine ahead of time (didnt need it). a few things I've read: do not eat rich/fatty foods. Do not eat a large amount at once. Drink a lot of water. Get an rx for zofran if you're worried. Take fiber supplements if you are constipated. |
I've been on it since July. I never had any major side effects. Only fatigue and headaches. The headaches come if I don't drink a TON of water. |
How much have you all lost? I've read lots of complaints about minimal weight loss. |
I've lost 60 pounds since April |
That's awesome. Sending you lots of support. |
I've been on Saxenda for 6 days. Just went up to the next higher dose yesterday (from the week one lowest dose) and I don't think I can do this. I am constantly nauseas. Occasionally I have fatigue so severe I can't function for half the day. I feel like maybe I need half of the lowest dose. |
