If he was sexually harassed and fired how is he the jerk?

So a straight guy gets a Pat on his butt from a women and he wants her fired, her career ruined it is a little nuts.

And the guy is a double jerk letting this get out to press

I mean when I was 25 years younger and better looking on a business trip a co worker on last night just me and
had dinner. She wanted to come back to my room and screw me, she hugged my and grabbed my hand.

At time I had a 1 year old and a 3 year old and she was about to get engaged. At what point would I pull a dick head move and go to HR, risk getting fired, explain to wife this story, try to get women fired and break up her relationship.

Nobody has said there is. Right now these are only allegations, though. It’s not an open-and-shut case until they are substantiated.

It seems a little odd to me that he filed the complaint without getting a notice of right to sue from EEOC first, because he could be waiting 6 months for that before he’s in a position to amend the complaint. That seems to create a pretty good argument to stay the suit until he’s gotten the notice (or decides not to pursue a Title VII. Makes me wonder if he’s hoping to get a quick settlement before then.

I worked with two women (one was actually our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion rep) who constantly made really inappropriate comments about guys. Less so the ones we worked with directly but more the ones who came in and out of our office (like he mail and delivery guys). A lot of comments about looks and their bodies and attractiveness and what they would like to do with them.

I found it really uncomfortable but many seemed to just accept it as office banter.

She hit on him at an outside office event, is not his supervisor, and he complains to HR? Yeah he is a jerk. Sure her move was in bad taste but wasn’t harassment.

Google did some quiet “restructuring” layoffs around the time he was filed in August 2022, but it’s not clear if he was part of those layoffs or fired separately.

She sounds like a creepy stalker. Good for him.

+1 I feel like the woman who was harassing him was totally out of line and should also have been fired or at least reprimanded. His firing probably was as much because of his lack of providing $$$ to google as anything else.

It sounds like she harassed him after he reported her to HR for hitting on him outside of work.

As far as I know, people are allowed to engage in personal relations as long as not supervisor hierarchy.

Her subsequent harassment was cause for termination, but it was likely in retaliation for his HR frivolous filing.

Just can’t accept that he’s entitled to equal treatment for being harassed, huh? If it was a woman and posters were rushing in to promote defenses for poor, litttle old Google, posters would be going crazy.

Urgh the woman was creepy. He should be into her because he has an Asian wife? She totally deserves to be disciplined. Now her face and name is out there hopefully she gets her just desserts. Sexual harassment is not ok either way, be the victim a man or a woman.

She hit on a married man who was obviously uncomfortable. If the genders were switched she would have been fired straight away. Not frivolous, especially in the age of me too.

You're not allowed to grope people without their permission. So, as far as you know, you don't understand how any of this works.

And google with the “Tiffany will be Tiffany “ attitude. Would it be ok if it were “boys would be boys”?

Her behavior is not ok and why is it allowed but if he did it to her, he'd be fire immediately. Her behavior was appalling and she deserved to be fired.

You should have told your wife what happened. Why would you hide that?
