No. Not to the level OP is.

I haven't sent mine yet. Be patient! Life is busy--I just started a new job that's a lot more hours than my old one.

We send ours for New Years.

Who cares? The don't even bear any relation to the holiday anymore. Just a bunch of photo collages of people and their pets/kids/hobbies that are a physical representation of their IG pages, maybe with "Happy Holidays" printed on it so as to not offend anyone. Long gone are the days when Christmas cards were actually pretty, shiny, and good decor, with a personal handwritten message inside.

Bah Humbug.

We haven't even put our cards in the mail yet, OP.

We moved into our house 7 years ago and I still receive cards for the previous owner. Sending cards doesn't mean people care enough to even know if you are still alive. We get 0 cards and I love it because it means I don't have to send them either. End of the year is busy and we keep in touch by other means anyway.

I would try to not take this so personally. Ppl have gone through a lot these past few years and we’re all just digging out and finding footing again. I sent 80+ cards and have no idea how many we’ve gotten. I love to see the ones that do come in and I keep no tally on whether or not ppl have reciprocated w a card. My sister stopped sending cards about 8 yrs ago bc the kids refused to be in pics and it wasn’t worth the fight. Don’t let holiday greeting cards be the measure of your friendships.

I just addressed them today, will hit the post office tomorrow. Plus more people we know are sending New Year's cards give it another week.

We quit 10 years ago. No time or energy. On behalf of all who feel overwhelmed with life to mail cards, it's not about you. It's about us, our business, and our not caring to maintain an image.

OP - literally all I did was go to CVS website one night and used a coupon did card layout and paid and they were ready the next day. So it is Not hard, older relatives wrote notes some cards that took time. But basic cards easy.

What do people do with cards they get who don’t send out cards? Do they toss them same day, hang then up?

Today as taking then down the one card that my aunt did with her children and grandchildren in photo I texted her to tell her how much I appreciated her card. I decided the fee I get even though I sent out cards to them I will thank them for the card and tell them how much appreciated.

I guess people don’t realize how much it hurts to find a friend or relative decide you have no value to then anymore at Xmas time. I hope it is they are lazy and not just mean. But I will never know. We had around 15-25 - 30 year plus Xmas card people just not send. We mailed December 8 our cards.

You don't know that many people are dealing with things you aren't aware of?? Medical issues, mental health, etc. Depression and anxiety, especially at the holidays leave many people just barely surviving. You sound like my mil, keeping track of who called on her birthday and who did it 'properly'. She shuns people that don't do everything the way she does.

If anyone thinks I'm either lazy or mean to not send cards, they aren't my friend. I have many other ways I show I care throughout the year.

You also sound extremely vindictive that you took down the few cards you did receive by the way.
