Most Valuable Class You Took in College?

Most valuable- I took one html class and one intro to coding and it has been my career.

Also I learned a ton in the sex and human body class.

Everything else was not memorable

Ice skating. It was a nice reminder that with practice / effort that I can get pretty good at something I've never done or was previously afraid to try.

An exercise class or 3-4 days a week in a sport or at the gym
A personal finance class ( or to know the difference between a stock and a bond, basic investing)
A basic statistics course
A nutrition class
An organizational behavior class
A negotiation class
A human sexuality class
A happiness or mental health class (like the popular happiness class at Harvard)
A non European or non American history or literature or religion class

Is this a joke?

What a freaking waste of money on these college credits. No way.

These are great, and I love the last one best because I don’t think I’ve had such a class and would benefit.

A foreign language class is also very important.
And the statistics class evaluating research to decide whether the conclusion stated is credible, right? It included this for me and that was very helpful.
I wish I had taken Economics so I would have a better idea of the forces at work. I just watched The Bullish Farmer, and he points out that small farm and organic farms would be a lot more competitive if they received the government subsidies of the Big Ag owned farms.

Symbolic Logic in the Philosophy Department. An essential foundation to critical thinking, without which everything outside of pure science and mathematics is merely a house of cards.

Not every undergrad is 18 years old and going on mommy and daddy's dime.

History class. I learned about revisionist history, something that was not taught in HS.

These should be taught in high school. Everyone should learn these, not just people who go to college.

It's a toss-up between Calculus 1 and Civil Engineering. I got a B in Calculus in high school but was a nervous wreck on the AP test and bombed it. I had an amazing instructor in college for Calculus 1, and not only did I finally understand the course fully, I actually enjoyed it. Civil Engineering had a very tough professor teaching the course, but I worked hard, did well, and ended up changing my major from a social science to Civil Engineering. Those courses changed my outlook on what I could accomplish and gave me confidence to tackle anything new and different.
